I'm sure plenty of UK buyers will even import the CC.

And I probably should have said "sucks for S1" as opposed to that I feel bad for them.
For that reason, I'm inclined to double-dip.

The Gunfighter is a more than pleasant surprise. Will also be picking up Pierrot le fou.

Love The Gunfighter and it is long neglected on physical media. So glad and great cover art.

Claudine is just an extraordinary film, and I'm delighted that it wound up on Criterion. I didn't expect that at all.

The October announcements aren't bad at all and might give a few of them a look. IMO think any company will have a hard time besting the dawn of the dead 4k from second site and the Friday the 13th Box set as well from scream, all coming out in Oct

There has been a couple of films I bought the Criterion of to later find out it's the same master locally (The Devil's Backbone comes to mind).

I am most likely going to blind buy Claudine. It has a really good reputation. Maybe Sparkle and Mahogany are next?

Posted this bad boy in my Discord. Barnes and Noble is about to get a ton of Parasite preorders.
Could I have a link to this Discord?

Pierrot le fou... I assume this new 2K transfer is sourced from StudioCanal that lacks the green tint during the party scene? The older CC transfer was approved by Coutard. Hopefully this'll also have the tint like the older PLF.

My Parasite 4K copy seeing that there's a "New 4K Digital Master" on Criterion's normal Blu-ray...

The extras are good though, I'll give them that!

Since the original BD release of this was one of the titles that had "bronzing" problems a decade ago, I'm curious if Criterion will replace any bad copies with this new edition going forward (or at least going forward as of October).

My copy still works perfectly fine, so even with this edition having a new scan, it'll have low priority.

I wish the Parasite release came with an empty disc hub so I could slide my 4K disc in. Because I'm all in for the Blu-ray with the B&W version on it!

Horrible covers for Parasite and Pierrot, especially the latter. The previous was perfect.

I assume you mean in terms of having a Halloween-themed release for October.

Still, neither of those releases you mention have any interest for me, but that's neither here nor there. It would've been nice if Criterion had had a release of Freaks ready to go, though.

I have the 4K & wouldn't buy the Criterion just for the bonus features (IIRC it was shot digitally so Criterion can't do a better transfer), but I might buy it for the B&W version alone.
