Hopefully, Memories of Murder will be announced now that the theatrical screenings have been announced so I think it's highly likely going to be December. I'm still bummed I'll be missing it out (Over here in a heavily polluted and 2049-esque California)

Thanks for mentioning that - it was the film I had meant to list above. Had a hangover from reading some of Billy Crystal's IMDB page.

More Cronenberg would be splendid. I don't know where Existenz sits rights wise but a Criterion release of that too would be great. And the rumour of Crash being with Criterion seems more likely than anything.
And it would be a dream if Disney let Straight Story get a release. Anywhere.

Parasite is coming out Oct. so I imagine they'll want to space them out.

Yes, but let’s make it a box set with “Breaking Training” and “Go to Japan”...and throw in the television series.

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on the By Brakhage set?

It's "Currently Unavailable" on the Criterion site, which may make things moot come the Flash Sale, but I've been reading a bit about Stan Brakhage and his films, and the set could be something I'd like to explore.

My number one choice every month : THE LAST PICTURE SHOW (outside the BBS box)

I was thinking that Criterion would put out WEST SIDE STORY in December to coincide with the Spielberg remake, but who knows if the new version will even come out this year at all.

And I would be certain that croterion has THE DEFIANT ONES.... Why are they not putting it out ?

It would be great if one of these great classic movies were announced as Criterion releases:

BRINGING UP BABY (1938)

ADAM’S RIB (1949)

RAGING BULL (1980) (This year is the film’s 40th anniversary!)

ANNIE HALL (1977)

MANHATTAN (1979)

Anyone else notice blu-rays of VOLVER and BROKEN EMBRACES seem to be out of print? Possible Criterion release imminent?

The Skin I Live In has also Been OOP for awhile too... as well as some of the DVD only like Bad Education/Matador/Law of Desire, etc.

I believe it was said previously that most of/if not all of his films would be coming at some point

Thanks in advance.
Anyone? I find it hard to believe no one here has an opinion on this and I would like to get some input before the new announcements later today bury the last few pages. Thanks.

Cue Bob Marley because I think I'm waiting in vain for an OZU Box Set. I'm guessing the Blu-ray Gods won't come up with this anywhere in the world until I purchase all the individual titles?

I think Pierrot Le Fou is, as is most 60s Godard. I haven’t seen Toni yet, but it’s available on the channel if you want to check it out.

There was also an upgraded standalone release of the Ichikawa film on the Olympics:
