I didn't think it would, but the ending to "An Affair to Remember" got me so misty-eyed. Later that night I watched a clip from Sleepless in Seattle where the one woman is recounting the story and gets choked up as she describes the ending where Deborah Kerr ("or is it Karr?" ) is sitting on the couch "with her shriveled little legs." Omg that scene just made me laugh and the guys are like "yup, its a chick movie." Haha, hope I didnt act the same but no one should feel ashamed to cry at that scene. It was executed and performed extremely well.

Marley & Me

Brutal!! Even more so now that my dog passed away about a month ago after having her for 14 years.

Pearl Harbor. Yeah, that's right. Michael Bay flattens me multiple times in that film. None moreso than the "Hangar Funeral" sequence after the attacks and when Raiders return from the "Dolittle Raid" with Danny's body.

****ing brutal on me.

Apollo 13. The wait for them to come out of the communications blackout seems to get longer every time I see it, and when we see they've survived and the music swells up I always get a few tears in my eyes. I'm getting chills just writing about it! Love that flick.

Last time I blubbed wasn't for a movie though, it was for an episode of DS9, the one where old Jake saves Sisko from that time anomaly thingy.

I posted this a couple years back in this thread. Definitely the saddest film I've ever seen.

Interstellar got me teary-eyed.

DUDE YES! That score by Horner is a masterpiece, but then so is the film. Ron Howard's best. Even when you know how the true story played out it's amazing the amount of tension that Howard and his cast were able to generate. I still tear up. Heck, I get teary at the launch. The reaction of Hayes' wife is gut wrenching. I'm so glad I'm not alone on this one. Thank you seriously dude.

Walking out of hell....This was the 80's where everyone "who makes it" always said they were going to Disneyworld. Well these Marines "made it" alright!

Paint it black (the protagonists were just painted black and walking away from flames in the last scene)

Anyone still dreaming of Mickey Mouse and Disneyland, and some of the old Mary Jane rotten crotch are ya?

So........
When you have kids what will you teach them? Will "you" teach them what's important. Mickey Mouse and Mary Jane Rottencrotch? Sometimes you have to pick up a gun and murder women and children? Something better than what you just experienced watching this film?

WWII 194X->Vietnam 197X-->Iraq-199X/2003-->Still going.

I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and I must have it painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black

I want to see your face painted black, black as night, black as coal
I want to see the sun blotted out from the sky.
I want to see it painted, painted, painted, painted black, yea
Songwriters: JAGGER, MICK / RICHARDS, KEITH

Why bother trying to "understand" the ending to a Kubrick film? Is it art?

Then watch the movie, and especially ending to Under The Skin with Scar-Jo. It's a cold world we're forced to live in....
