this is to say I have no shame in feeling the emotion of the moment!. he labels me a wuss (in context of a person feeling incredible emotion watching a movie) and I'll say yep!!. lets say I never took his comment beyond the fact it was a joke!.

hang on, have I read you correctly?.

Well that's borderline trolling. Maybe find something better to do than taking a few shits in a 54+ page thread.

For me:

Star trek 2 Wrath of Kahn- the end when Spock dies.
Titanic- the scene at the very end, walking up the staircase...
T2 - Arnold death at end of movie.

I'm not sure I'd exactly call it crying, but 'The Theory of Everything' made my eyes well up pretty good a few times!

From recent memory all I can remember is the opening scene from Up. I also get very emotional during war movies.

I always get a bit emotional when Glenn Ford's Jonathan Kent dies in Richard Donner's Superman. The death scene itself and Clark saying "All those things I can do. All those powers. And I couldn't even save him." at the funeral still manages to choke me up a bit even after all these years.

In stark contrast, I found the death of Jonathan Kent in 2013's Man of Steel to be incredibly unmoving.

The only incident that I can recall while watching a film would have to be Black Hawk Down.

After reading the book by Mark Bowden, seeing the movie, and personally talking to one of the Rangers that was in the firefight, this was a classic case of utter hell for these guys....

The scene in gravity where Sandra bullock is transmitting to the guy and she hears the dog howling and baby crying...

Also the last few scenes in blow, where george records the message for his father, and also when he imagines his daughter visiting...basically the last 5 minutes of blow

Just remembered another one, in, of all things, a John Carpenter movie! The 1979 Elvis TV movie starring Kurt Russell. About half way through, Elvis's mom dies in the hospital, with Elvis and his dad at her bedside, who wake up from a long night to discover that she's passed away.

Russell and Shelley Winters have enormous chemistry in this movie, and they do such an amazing job showing the loving relationship between Elvis and his mom. It made her death scene a really heartbreaking moment, perhaps more in context than just watching the snippet below, and I think it's helped by the fact Carpenter kept it simple.
