Not too surprised, the collision was pretty brutal. I was hoping it wasn't too bad because the leg didn't bend awkwardly but I wasn't optimistic. I'm heading to tonight's Cubs game and hopefully Soler can pick up the slack.

The Giants Banned Hotel Room Service For Pablo Sandoval So He Wouldn't Overeat

While Pablo Sandoval remains on the disabled list for a shoulder strain that may or may not be real, the Red Sox third baseman’s relationship with food is being scrutinized. Comcast Sports Net’s Sean McAdam was on Toucher and Rich today and reported that when Sandoval was with the San Francisco Giants, the team made sure he couldn’t order room service from the hotels during road trips.

I wonder how much salary the Red Sox would have to pay to trade Panda. He's got 4 years and a minimum of $75 million left on his contract. Would a team be willing to pay him $4 million a year at this point?

I haven't watched much baseball over the last few years, but I started out this season determined to follow the Braves and the Reds...........or maybe just the Reds.

I don't know if I believe this. Seems like just piling on Panda by the "News" websites. The Giants never seemed to have to have that kind of control over a grown man, going back to the Bonds years, and management before this current group that purchased the club in '93.

As a Giants fan who loved him while he was here, you never heard that kind of parenting, for lack of a better term, being needed when it came to Panda. If he couldn't make the plays, he sat. Look at the 2010 Championship year, he was benched because of weight, and not being able to make simple plays, for Juan Uribe. And look at how Juan played....Legendary.

The Red Sox knew what they were getting. A overweight player, who plays decently enough with the weight. And face it, because of that Panda wasn't going to win any gold gloves, or make any spectacular bare handed up the line plays at third.
