I feel like Sox took out their toughest competitors and didn't have to go max games in each series. Betts is due to go on a hot streak. If Kimbrel got over his pitch tipping issues then I can be more comfortable in Sox.

The perceived difference of strength between the teams (17-win difference -not counting G163-) is misleading: the AL was the most inequal league-season in the division era:

If you expect a walk in the (fenway?) park, you’ll be disappointed.
The key for LAD is hitting with RISP, they managed to reach the WS despite being horrible with runner(s) on and refusing to shorten their swing when they reach 2-strikes (except Turner of course). If they show a little more discipline in the strike zone (they don’t “chase” much outside), they’ll win !

I never thought the Red Sox would get past the Astros, especially in just five games. I also thought that while the Yankees were definitely beatable this year, I thought that would be a 5 game series. So I've been wrong every step of the way with the Red Sox. Therefore, I have to say...Red Sox in 5.

My hats off to the Red Sox performance last night as they capitalize on every opportunity that the Dodgers gave them. But, I felt the Brewers series was a notch higher in intensity and the Dodgers got on base with more ease against Boston's pitchers so I think the Dodgers can win if they can put it together which it seem they were starting to do in the last game of the NLCS. Dodgers in 6 (but would not be surprise at all if they went 7).

You summed it up pretty well. I was pleased with LAD’s approach at the plate (patience, short swings with 2 strikes, driving runners in,...).
Too bad CK22 kept his current “streak” of alterning bad and good outings:
5 ER in SFG last WE of the regular season
8 IP, 2H vs ATL
3 IP 5R in G1 vs MIL
7 IP 3H 1R in G5
4 IP 5R in G1 vs BOS
Well he will pitch a gem next time

Sooooo, we’re in the bottom of the 5th, LAD are leading, Ryu is pitching very well, gets 2 easy outs and yadayada LAD lose the game...
Last two series, Madson inherited 9 runners... 7 scored...
I change my prediction: LAD in 7

I think LA will win a game or two, but unless the Red Sox bats go drastically cold, I just don't see the Dodgers outscoring them in four out of the next five. Boston just has too many ways to manufacture runs.

It's odd to think its just about to hit midnight in LA where the game is at, and folks in Boston are approaching 3 A.M. A few innings ago they kept talking that Boston could afford to lose this game but at this point I'm not so sure anymore. They've put so much into this game now they couldn't be happy losing this one.
