Heading to the Diamondbacks home opener today. It is my 9th straight year going to the D-Backs opener. I’m not a D-Backs fan but my parents live in the Scottsdale area in the winter so it’s a good excuse to come see them. It doesn’t have as much excitement since the season started last week but still should be fun.

Chris Davis’ problem? He is thinking too much. He has too much on his mind: Jesus, family, his ailments, his drug stuff, etc. He needs to learn to stop giving too much attention to the thoughts inside his head. Overthinking things doesnt help anyone. So the sooner he lives in the present (shutting off his mind aka the voices in his head telling him: this is why this? and Blah blah blah!), then he can get out of his slump.

Tim Anderson has been suspended 1 game for 'language'. I usually agree with all suspensions the MLB hands out but not this one. I hope he appeals and wins.

Madison Bumgarner submitted his no-trade list to the Giants and they are the Braves, Red Sox, Cubs, Astros, Brewers, Yankees, Phillies and Cardinals. It doesn't mean that he doesn't want to play for them, especially since they're all playoff contenders. But he's trying to get some leverage in on where he could go in a trade.

When Edwin Jackson pitches for the Blue Jays this week, he will set the MLB record for playing with the most teams at 14.

Dodgers, Rays, Tigers, White Sox, Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Nationals, Cubs, Braves, Padres, Marlins, Orioles, A's, now Blue Jays.
