The exact number isn't known yet, but Robert Murray, formerly of The Athletic, says it's "several." Prior to this, the Cardinals had three known positive tests among players, with additional positives among team personnel. St. Louis is currently slated to begin a four-game series with the Tigers on Tuesday, but it's obviously up in the air at this point whether it will actually take place.

Probably truth in that. Ohtani is possibly gone for the season with a flexor strain, 4-6 weeks before he can even start throwing. I'm glad it isn't a re-tear of the UCL.

We really do need the pitching help, we've got nobody at this level and maybe a few prospects (mostly bullpen arms).

It's just that first game in the MLB when he was pitching a perfect game through 7 innings I felt so happy, like he was our savior or something (maybe savior isn't the correct word).

Mike Soroka of the Braves out for the season yesterday, Max Scherzer left after the first inning today. The NL East may turn out to be a true toss-up - yes, even the sillies and the marlins have a puncher's chance.

Even the smallest injuries can take you out for half a season now.

Court documents show that a number of pills were found in Skaggs’ room, including a single blue pill with the markings M/30. It closely resembled a 30-milligram oxycodone tablet, but an analysis of the pill revealed it had been laced with fentanyl.

Investigators found text messages on Skaggs’ phone that showed he had asked Kay to stop by his room with pills. It was later learned by investigators that Kay had lied to them, and told another Angels employee that he visited Skaggs’ room the night of his death.

The Braves were the clear frontrunner until Soroka went down. They desperately need another decent starter if they want a legitimate shot at advancing in the playoffs.

Agreed they were the frontrunner. They still have a heckuva team offensively, averaging 5 and a half runs a game is a good start. New plan, just outhit everyone everyday.
