Oh look another year, another Mike Trout done for the season result.

I almost feel like he should actually give some cash back to the Angels for not holding up his end of the bargain. They have 6 more years and over a 1/4 billion they owe to him and lets face it he is cashed out at this point, knees dont get better with age... He has played like 42 games over the last 4 seasons during the second half, his body falls apart every year...

Late to this but yeah he needs to go. My blood pressure rises as soon as he comes out. Still amazed he made the ASG.

Shohei Ohtani went 0-15 before that 3-run homer last night, he might be the most over-rated hitter in baseball. Especially since he took the year off from pitching to focus on hitting.

Hard to argue he is worth the eventual price tag right now. If he never comes back to pitch and be at least semi successful at it I don't see his salary ever paying off! He is not close to the best player in the game right now imo. His pitching is what made him a unicorn, without that he is not all that intimidating imo.

I also wonder if his elbow is actually affecting his batting also, I don't know how ligament damage in an elbow can't hamper a batting swing.

I would imagine he's also pressing due to being #1 in the batting order, not pitching and being paid all that money. He needs to calm down and hit! Not every ball needs to be a HR, just put it in play.
