Looks like you picked a good year to be a Dodger fan.

Looks like it, probably need to start looking for an Ohtani jersey to match my Dodgers hat.

Sure seems like Aaron Judge simply isn't a big game player. Basically the anti-Derek Jeter. It's his 7th postseason, so we have a pretty large sample size of >200 at bats, and he's hitting in the .190's postseason overall, like .150 this postseason, and 1 for 12 in the World Series.

Seems like a streaky hitter period, like Shohei Ohtani.

i can tell ya what, fans will NOT be so forgiving next playoffs, i guarantee that. i remember Arod getting boo'd, Judge is following in those footsteps unfortunately.

on another note, did anyone notice the Ohtani beats headphones ad behind home plate? WTF is up with that ?!?

Not in the regular season. He was third in the league in batting average. You don't get that by being streaky hitter. His playoff performance is 100% mental. I think he puts way too much pressure on himself to be the guy and it gets to him. I actually see this happen when buzz starts happening with his home runs towards the end of the season too. He was on pace to get around 60+ home runs and suddenly he's getting major national coverage again, and he went into a 16-game no HR slump. That's purely psychological.

Series is not over. Dodgers got a gift in G1 and dodged a bullet in G2. They really haven't outplayed the Yankees and the the Dodgers have a bullpen game tonight. If the Yankees can take care of business at home then they'll have the momentum going back to LA being down only 3-2. Which is nothing really in baseball, as anything can happen.

Yes the odds aren't great but this isn't the NBA where a team up 3-0 would have their number. In baseball pitching is a crapshoot and the Dodgers have a history of coming up short in the playoffs and WS. Why not have have it include blowing a 3-0 lead. Not counting my chickens yet. But it would help if Judge can break out of his slump. That's realistically their only chance.

Wow, just saw a stat that teams up 3-0 in the World Series are 21-3 in game 4. And in the 3 losses they came back to win game 5. Hopefully the Dodgers don't buck that trend, but not optimistic tonight at least with a bullpen game on the road.

As a big time Yankees fan, it's over. I don't see the Yanks winning tonight. The Yanks are a bully kind of team. They need to be playing with series leads in order to win but as soon as the opposing team punches them in the face and they fall behind in a series, they don't know how to get up from that. They were fortunate that the Royals and Guardians didn't have the fire power offensively to jump out in front in those series. But the Dodgers are a legitimate franchise. In the Aaron Boone era, that's how it's been. They dominate the AL central teams or the Athletics in the wild card game but the Yanks haven't been able to beat a legitimately good team with a high payroll. Red Sox, Astros and Dodgers. Yanks have no answer when it comes to beating those types of teams.

As for Aaron Judge, he can hit 90 home runs during the regular season. When the team is constructed around him and he is a no show in the postseason year after year, you're not winning a championship. Maybe one year, he'll figure it out but outside of the manager, the big problem the Yanks have is scoring in the postseason and that starts with Aaron Judge not carrying his weight. He doesn't have to hit .390 in the postseason but he at least has to hit .250. Hitting under .200 and popping a home run here and there is unacceptable.

lol, we'll see. Oddsmakers probably ignore the 21-3 stat or figure the other team is due.

Yeah if Judge pulled his weight this series NY would be up 2-1 likely. On the other hand though Ohtani hasn't contributed much so far and given his injury not expecting much from him tonight or in any other Series games.

But Ohtani is at least drawing some walks and was also on fire in the NLCS. He hasn't been a complete no show like Judge this postseason.
