I'm not a fan of Apple TV+ announcers, either, but I've yet to witness any of them go off on a 10 minute segment on hitting tips while demonstrating full screen on a batting tee - mid game - without so much as even a ticker to track the current game's progress.

Haha. I'll give you that one. I was never a fan of A-Rod. He was a dick to fans in Tampa during Spring Training the few years I went down.

Yankees won but it was a freaking ugly 9th. Devin Williams got into a lot of trouble and threw 36 pitches.

Yeah I was never really a fan, either. Seems to love to hear the sound of his own voice.

And to commemorate that occasion, I found a screenshot that I took. I think this was from a couple of seasons ago. You'd never know they were broadcasting a live game. And check out the personal branding with the jersey on the left there. I'd be willing to believe he had something to do with that Mariners score on the bottom, too lol.

The Kay Rod cast was short lived lol and yeah he definitely had a say in the design of the studio. A great ballplayer, but he’s a textbook narcissist.

Kay is stuck up and gets a lot of hate, but I’ve been listening to him since I was watching games as a kid in the 90s with my dad. Hard to hate him as he’s always been there, but I understand all the negative stuff and criticism coming from the fan base.

Yeah I think they dovered about a dozen or so games that season, and that was it. Thank goodness. I didn't used to have any dislike for him, just indifferent really. At least up until that broadcast, then he became an annoyance lol.

But last night, I was actually surprised ESPN stayed on point and talked about the game, players, stats, etc. I don't recall them once going off on an unrelated topic for a change.

It was still a very ugly game lol. 5 errors for the Yanks and atrocious defense.

WoW MLB screwed the the Tigers on Friday with a BS call overturning the umps on the field in the 9th at home allowing the golden boy Dodgers to sweep the Tigers and stay undefeated.

That was definitely a BS call as it didn't look like there was enough to overturn it, but what's interesting is you happen to post that almost 3 days later right after someone mentions the Dodgers lol
