So is anybody paying attention to the AL Central race?! I just saw highlights last night and had no idea the Twins had made it interesting!

It seems like that's one of the only division races in baseball this year. Twins were 4 games behind Detroit going into a 3 game series against the Tigers, and won the first two, to bring it down to 2 games.

If the Tigers avoid the sweep today, it goes back up to 3 and takes the pressure off. But if the Twins pull of the sweep, I'm sure Detroit fans will be .

Yes we did. This can only give our hitters more confidence as we roll into the playoffs.

When the Cubs signed Milton Bradley I said it was a horrible signing and he's definitely proven it. Suspended for the season and it's very possible the Cubs will pay him the $20 million left on his contract just to get rid of him. I'm not a huge baseball follower but I knew this was a horrible signing and so should any other baseball followers. Milton Bradley hates the media and the Cubs are among the worst teams in terms of media scrutiny. In addition he can't stay healthy all season and needs to be on an AL team so he can DH 40 games a year. Milton Bradley should not have gotten 3 years/$30 million in a good economy, much less a horrible economy. I don't know why they didn't sign someone like Adam Dunn or Bobby Abreu, since they don't have much for left handed hitters. Both are cheaper the Bradley and not head cases, or even better they could have just kept Mark DeRosa who can play any position and was one of the leaders of the team. I hope they give Bradley the $20 million and tell him to stay away from the team for the next 2 years, although I don't know if that is allowed and the union would certainly file a grievance.

Disgruntled Cubs fan rant over.

Sox swept the Orioles (and the umps didn't have to help, either!) this weekend. They were 16-2 vs the O's this year, ouch. I'm am focusing on this little tidbit because the Patriots were so awful Sunday, I need to keep my mind off of them! Texas and TB are way behind so I'm pretty revved up for playoff time. The Sox will be a dangerous opponent in October...

Yeah, it will be interesting what will happen if the Twins and Tigers are tied at the end of the season. The Twins would host the tiebreaker and they would want to play the game the day after the season ends, which is a Monday. Only problem is the Vikings play the Packers that day on Monday night football. MLB said they would work with the NFL and hopefully move the Monday night game to Green Bay and then have the Packers visit the Vikings in the originally scheduled game at Green Bay. The NFL has said they won't move the game, and the Vikings and Packers will be playing in Minnesota on Monday night. The Vikings hold precedence over the Twins except in the World Series so they can't be forced to move the game. So they would likely have to play the game on Tuesday or consider playing at a neutral site. Odds are it won't matter anyway since the Tigers will likely win the division after last night's win.

Any team 3 games over .500 should not be involved in a playoff race as far as i'm concerned... must be nice!

Lost opportunity by the Sox, the blew a 6-0 lead over KC in a pitiful pitching display. Delcarmine really does suck this season.

Wow, the Twins get the Tigers and Royals from pretty much Thursday to close out the season. If they want the division, it's up to them now!
