I was surprised at that as well. Joba was more than ready for an inning. CC pitched a great game. I hope AJ can bring the same momentum to game 2.

One down, one to go. If the Angels split the first two games, I think they'd view that as a success, so hopefully the Yankees don't let that happen.

Now after going 8 they really can't do a three man rotation or it could spell disaster.

CC was great. It was awesome to hear the fans shouting it.

This is going to be a tough game....both pitches are throwing really well. I'd feel really good if they had west two games up.

Yeah, it depends which Burnett shows up. So far he's looking good, but it'd be a lot better if the Yankees had more than 1 run.

I want to buy one of those head sock things that Cano is wearing. From the way it looked yesterday, I think it has a little Yankee logo on it. I'm sure MLB sells them. Time to look it up.

I hear ya..gotta have the official stuff haha..I've got the Majestic dugout jacket..which is really nice and a few thermabase sweaters..the blue one with the Yankes logo near the neck is really nice..they go on ebay for around $30..

Jeter just hit his second hr of the postseason....he's so good in Oct.

edit: the beanies are new this year...I might pick one up for the winter..don't see them on the site though.

I'll have to look those up. I couldn't find anything for the head sock thing, which might be because I have no idea what they're actually called.

I did find out the hats they wear are officially called Downflap 39Thirty hats, and cost $32 on just about any site that sells New Era stuff. 39Thirty hats have an elastic band, as opposed to the 59Fifty hats that they regularly wear, which don't.

I get most of my stuff off of eBay..last years jersey was nice because it had the all-star logo and final season stadium one.

Just be carefull for fakes...make sure it has the mlb logo on the top. That one is nice..has the '09 inaugural season patch.

Make sure it doesn't have a name on the back too!

I hate that Yankee Stadium actually sells jerseys with names on the back.

Edit: One thing I'm worried about with the link you posted, is that guy also sells a Mattingly jersey with the 2009 patch... do those really exist?

Yeah, the jersey's also ship from China, so I doubt their authenticity.

But I might take the chance anyway. I could use a new jersey, and the guy claims he offers refunds, so he I get it and hate it, and he doesn't take it back, I'll file a complaint.

From random trips down Chinatown, I've seen how good "fake" items can be (namely the fake purses all over Chinatown which look pretty legit).

So if the jersey looks and feels real, I won't mind too much that it really isn't. $30 is a lot nicer than $190, for something I'd wear a couple times per year.
