The thing that's scary about Mo, or anyone who throws hard... is if the batter can just make some contact, the ball will come flying off the bat really fast.

I'm sure physics can explain that better.

But it makes double plays hard, because the ball just flies through the infield... there aren't really any softly hit grounders from Mo.

I've learned to never lose hope and stay optimistic...so many come from behind wins and can't forget '04 when the Yanks were up 3-0 and the 'Sox..well...ya we don't need to go there. Goes to show that anything is possible.

Yeah, I couldn't sit down for that last inning. Time to grab another drink. Like I said before, I hate extra inning games when the Yankees aren't the home team. You can never relax.

That last inning makes it a little easier for me though, because it was looking like a loss. So now that the Yankees escaped, I can kind of convince myself "well, it looked like they were going to lose anyway, and got lucky to have a second chance".

So that makes it a little easier if they end up losing, but not much.

lol..how didn't I notice that...

Well...the Angels won...we knew they would win at least 1 game so this is it...At least we know it's going back to NY where the Yankees will celebrate on their own field.

I wouldn't get too ahead of yourself there. It's not like these games have been blowouts.

Not necessarily. Yanks can still win these next two in Anaheim, and finish the series before it goes back to NY.

I hate that the game was ended by a bum. Well, two bums. Mathis showed he might be a career .195 hitter, but he's less of a bum than Aceves.

I'd be thrilled if Alfie doesn't pitch another inning. He's had two chances so far this series, and blew both. I hope Girardi doesn't give him another.
