Girardi ran out and was thrown out within 2 seconds, so I wonder what he said.

Situation was top of the 8th, runners on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs, Yankees down by a run.

Yankees still jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the 8th. Looks like it didn't hurt them as much as it could have.

Pitchers can be very inconsistent, one of last month's perfect game throwers got throttled in his first game since.

We're within one run now, unfortunately Aaron Hill just hit into a double play which will probably end our chances.

hes looked a lil better today compared to has last 3 starts.. But its obvious his blister injury is bothering him more than ppl think...

Giants need to skip him one start and let that heal... Hopefully he can get back to his dominating ways

It has been a great game so far. I can't believe Freddy watched that last pitch go by on a 3-2 count to let Donnelly out of the inning. Meat of the order coming up for the Bucs here we go!!

That play was #1 on ESPN's top ten! Funny note, I saw it make #1 at work and everyone around me was like...that's #1? I had to tell them the situation! How people don't like baseball, I'll never know?

Giants get 2 runs in the top of the 9th thanks to some sloppy defense from the Pirates. Last chance for Pittsburgh, Clement, LaRoche, and Cedeno coming up in the bottom of the 9th, all of them are 0/3 on the afternoon, that needs to change.

Same old Jays. Live and die by the long ball. Someone really needs to teach their hitters run production. Three hits in a game isn't going to cut it.

Yeah that is certainly true, but when the bats are hot we can light up the scoreboard.

Thing is though even I know you can't consistently win at baseball by having so much all or nothing production. Someone needs to get a batting coach in there to teach them how to consistently attack specific pitchers, pitches, etc and even learn how to put the ball in the field of play in different places depending on the situation.

I agree with you, but what I'm saying is that this season we are going to live and die by the long ball. We have a lot of young talent as well as some excellent looking prospects, so the future is looking very bright for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Imagine if the Jays had won those two games against Tampa last week. Great weekend versus the Yankees, can't help but think about the blown ones last week, woulda been huge division wins.

Such a clutch home run, a shame that Dotel wasn't able to close it out. I guess if anyone is going to do it, it mine as well be Freddy.

392 pitches and 4 hours 6 minutes later, Rays win an ugly one in Texas, 9-5! With the win, the Rays finish their 6 game road trip with a .500 record, 3-3! John Jaso had 5 RBIs and Carlos Pena hit his 1st HR since the Yank series help the Rays improve to 37-20 on the season and keep a 2 game lead on the Yanks!

Bring on the Jays and Marlins!

That SHOULD seem like the dumbest question to ever ask in June, but with this kid, it isn't. Yes, we should give him the Cy Young already. This kind of performance is unheard of. I can only dream of him playing for my team.
