If anyone is wondering why he was miked (or mic'ed?), it's because of a documentary called Playing For Peanuts, which followed this minor league team for a season.

I'd like to think he didn't put on a show just for the documentary, but who really knows?

Ok someone needs to cool the BoSox down. I haven't checked the schedule, but let me guess, they play the Pirates or Astros next? lol

EDIT... looks like the Dodgers are going to Fenway tonight... may have to check that out for the obvious reason.

I'm going to be curious how the fans greet Manny in his first time back to Fenway. He was a great player and helped them win 2 titles, but the way he forced (and handled) his departure made some fans turn against him permanently. I think Torre is a little scared of how the fans would treat him because he's going to DH the whole time and not have to deal with the Fenway outfield crowd that loved him for years. I'd guess it will be a mix of cheers and boos when Manny comes to bat.

I'm gonna go with cheers. Without Manny I doubt that they would have won those 2 titles. I think the fans respect that.

The Marlins are giving out vuvuzela-like horns to the first 15,000 fans at tomorrow's game against the Rays. This promotion has been planned since the winter, before it was known that vuvezela horns are the most annoying things on earth.

I've been dying to see how Boston reacts to Manny. But now that LA beat the Celtics I'm even more excited to see how that crowd reacts overall.

Strasburg gives up 1run in the first and has stuck out 7 since now has tied the record for most strikeouts in first 3 starts one more and the record is his

Good gawd Strasburg pitched another gem. 7 innings, 4 hits, 0 BB, 1 run, 10 K's. And he only threw 85 pitches. Unfortunately their offense scored just 1 run for him so it's a no decision.

In three starts Strasburg is averaging almost 15 K's per 9 innings pitched.
