Atlanta finished off a sweep of the hapless Royals. The Braves are now 29-10 in their last 39 games. The best record in the NL now. And that is with a very unfavorable schedule so far. They've played 39 road games on the year and just 31 home games.

That sucks, the only team I hate more than the Yankees is the Braves but they haven't bothered me that much the last few years because they've been even more irrelevant than the Twins.

What do you mean about the Twins being irrelevant? They won their division last year and only missed the playoffs by 1 game the year before. They always seem to have a good young team regardless of how many players they lose to free agency.

They always seem to just barely win their division and then get knocked out by the Yankees every single year, which is why I hate the Yankees so much. Pair us with someone else, please!

What has been Halladay been up to the last two starts? The Yankees knocked him around, and the Twins had their fair share of success against him today. I may be a Jays fan, but I will always wish him the best.

His last start against Minnesota wasn't that bad, though he did suck against the Yankees. Most of his recent losses have had more to do with lack of run support than poor pitching. It's not his fault the Phillies offense has been horrible for over a month now.

It's amazing. Who would have thought the Braves and Padres would have better records than the Phillies near the all star game.

I thought it was a forgone conclusion the Phillies would not only win the NL East but have the best record on the NL coming into this season. I'm not entirely shocked the Braves are a possible playoff team, but I figured they were a Wild Card team at best. With as much talent as the Phillies have they have to come around eventually. Or at least you'd think so.

Best wishes to Rafeal Furcal and his family. Killed by a kick from a horse? What a weird way to go.

Rafael Furcal's father died in the early hours of Sunday at a medical center in the Dominican Republic where he remained hospitalized for three weeks after being kicked in the chest by a horse.

Yeah, I saw on ESPN that the Braves have the best home-record but have played the fewest home games...

I don't know if I can agree with that man. He allowed eleven hits today, I really wouldn't call that efficient pitching. (At least not to Roy Halladay standards)

I think your Braves have a real shot at the divison, I hope they can pull it off. I can't stand the Phillies, they have more fair weather fans than the Red Sox.

The Rays lose another one again and finish the 6 game road trip 2-4! I'm so frustrated with this team, atm! I think I'm going to take a break with the Rays and enjoy the World Cup! Hopefully, the Rays can get their shit together!

BTW, about the air horns, there are a couple at Rays home games! They sits out in RF!

The Red Sox have really come around lately. It's looking more and more like the AL East will end up a 3 team crapshoot with the Yankees, Rays and Red Sox competing for two playoff spots.

Shame the game is in Philly instead of Toronto like it was scheduled due to the G-20 Summit.
