Man, now today, Victor Martinex breaks a thumb. With Buckholtz tweaking a hammy running the bases over the weekend, the injuries are really piling up.

Hey guys, remember that rare (1 of 1) Strasburg autograph that was up to $500,000? Sure enough, nobody ever had any intention of paying for it.

I particularly like the "entered wrong amount" ones, as well as the one the seller canceled because he tried contacting the bidder several times, and never got a response. I almost feel bad for the seller, desperately emailing these people, thinking one of them were really going to pay close to a million for the card. But not really.

Yankees take an 8-6 lead over the Dodgers in the 10th inning.

Torre's plan to call in a new pitcher when Cano came up to bat with a runner on first backfired, as Cano hammered the first pitch over the left-centerfield wall.

On paper, it was a good decision, as Cano had 0 career hits against this guy. But oh well.

If the Yankees hold onto the win, the blame should be on Broxton, who gave up 4 runs in the 9th, not so much the guy who just gave up the HR.

I love how the Yankees buy every single free agent known to man yet there manager is acknowledged as GOOD because they win? Does that make any sense?

They were showing the celebrities in the stands and there's good old Jack (probably the biggest L.A. Lakers fan in the world) wearing a Yankee hat... Just goes to show how contagious that Yankee Bandwagon disease can spread... Heck it's even taking over Canada...

Jack Nicholson was born and raised in New York/New Jersey so it makes sense for him to be a Yankee fan. However, he's lived in LA for about 50 years so it also makes sense that he became a Lakers fan.

It's Yanks vs. Mariners, not Dodgers. Not going to be an easy series. They have to face Lee the first game, then King Felix, then get a breather and face the horrid Ryan Rowland-Smith. I'd still expect the Yankees to take 2 of 3 though because the Mariners offense is horrible.
