Yeah, i know! I don't know why i put the Dodgers again maybe because they were tralling them yesterday and came back to win in the 10th inning 8-6!

But on replays, Upton seemed to be a bit too casual in his pursuit of those balls.

When I first heard about it, I thought it was a ball hit more toward left field that Joyce should've been able to get to, yet missed, and then Upton wasn't there for the backup. But the two hits I saw on SportsCenter were clearly for Upton to go after, and he took his sweet time getting to them.

I'm surprised Madden hasn't said anything about benching Upton for a game, but since they can't keep slipping in the standings, maybe sitting him would do more harm than good. A win is worth more than teaching Upton a lesson, and just hope he doesn't do it anymore.

Does Nicholson even care about other sports? I don't recall hearing anything about him attending games for non-NBA games.

It would make more sense if he was a Nets/Knicks fan then. Lost some respect for him when I saw that. I know lots of fans on the Dodger boards did so as well.

I hope the Dodgers don't resign Joe Torre. I'm sick to death of the way he handles our bullpen.

If you go to a Dodger game I would not sit in the bleachers if I were you. For real.

I don't think the Dodgers will re-sign Torre, and I don't think Torre would re-sign. There's no way the Dodgers would be willing to pay Torre as much as he wants with their current ownership situation. I think Torre would rather retire or go to TV than stay with the Dodgers and not have any flexibility to sign players.

It makes sense to me. As a Yankee fan during the 40s and early-to-mid 50s, he would've learned to hate the Dodgers, and probably still keeps that rivalry in his mind. His favorite team was probably determined by which games he went to/which team his family liked, but professional basketball was still in it's formative years at the time, so it's conceivable that he never went to any Knick games, nor did his dad care about them.

By the time the NBA really got going in the 60s and 70s, Nicholson was already out in LA making movies. The Lakers showed up in 1960, when Nicholson was in his 20s, and had already been living in LA for a few years.

It seems to take celebrities all of 5 minutes to become a Laker fan once they become famous, even if they did have loyalty to some other team in the past. Probably just part of the Hollywood lifestyle. Considering the Lakers are always competitive I suppose it's an easy bandwagon to jump on.

I guarantee that if the Dodgers were anywhere near as successful as the Yankees you'd see all the celebrities at Dodger games too.

I was surprised at the amount of Yankee fans in attendance at the game last night. There was a good amount of cheering when the Yankees tied the game in the 9th, and took the lead on Cano's HR in the 10th. I thought for a second Cano was going to have a curtain call.

It's not surprising at all. The Yankees have more Championships than any team in American pro sports. They could probably draw a big crowd in Alaska if they played there. Bandwagon fans happen in every sport.

Has LeBron James EVER lived or stayed in NYC in his entire life? Because I recall even he was wearing a Yankee hat in Cleveland.

Why does it surprise you? LA ain't exempt from having bangwagon fans. Plus I'm sure alot of people traveled from NY to see the game. It's a matchup that never happens. That said I wanted to throw a chair at my TV last night seeing all those Yankee fans overtake the Dodger fans as they had that rally in the 9th.

I doubt many traveled from NY. LA is just a big city and I'm sure there are a lot of bandwagon Yankee "fans" even that far away from NY. Most of them have probably never even been to NYC before.

You'd be surprised how many Yankee fans I come across in Florida that are not even from the northeast, yet alone NYC.

Since neither LA team is particularly terrible, I just figured a majority of the fans at the games would be in support of the local team. I'm not surprised Yankee fans showed up at the Dodger game, but that they drowned out the Dodger fans, at least at the end of the game.

It's quite possible with a 4 run lead, the Dodger fans packed it up to get a head start on traffic, while the Yankee fans figured this is their last chance to see the Yankees for a while, so they might as well stick around until the final out.

Perhaps. I can take solace though in the fact those frontrunners had to spend hundreds of dollars on mini plans to see those games.

Can't wait for tonight. Strasburg pitching against my team for the first time. This is probably the best lineup Strasburg has had to pitch against thus far.

Washington @ Atlanta
Start time 7:10 PM EST

Stephen Strasburg
2-1, 1.78 ERA

vs.

Tim Hudson
7-3, 2.54 ERA

How can you be 2-1 with a 1.78 ERA?
