If anything, the sons are willing to spend more money on the Yankees. That franchise is swimming in money because of the new stadium. I doubt anyone can match what the Yankees will offer Cliff Lee. It will likely be a slight discount to Sabathia's contract, just because of Lee's older age. But expect somewhere in the 125 to 140 million range.

Come on now. They outright lied about the price tag. Not by a little bit... by a LOT. But then again I don't feel bad for them. The voters knew the kind of people they were dealing with in King George. Build him a new taxpayer funded stadium so he can jack up ticket prices on the same people paying for the stadium. Nice little scam.

The killer steakhouse inside the stadium is a rip, why even go to the game if you have to watch it on a TV?

I agree. As far as pro sports go I never go to anything except for a few Magic games each year. And that's because the Magic still have fairly reasonable ticket prices. I go to a few minor league baseball games as well which are practically free admission.

How are all these deals still being made, wasn't the trade deadline like 2 weeks ago?

There are loopholes. The "trade deadline" isn't a real deadline. There can be deals after it. I forget the reasoning behind it.
