That's not really funny that such a solid young pitcher has to have major surgery and will be out 12-18 months. I'm no Nats fan but I feel bad for their franchise and fans. This guy has the potential of being one of the best starters in the game.

It's being reported that Manny has been claimed on waivers, although it's currently unknown by whom. It's assumed it was the White Sox, who the Dodgers have been negotiating with and who tried to get him at the trade deadline. Manny has a full no-trade clause so he could block a trade. It's unknown whether that's a possibility since Manny hasn't been talking.
