Probably just so happy his team won it all again that he's willing to settle for less than complete footage of the 2010 post-season.

On his ESPN Insider blog today Buster Olney said CC Sabathia would be crazy to not opt out of his deal after next season. He said that while CC says he won't opt out JD Drew said the same thing before opting out of his Dodgers contract. He makes the case that there will be a number of big-spending teams looking for pitching help including the Dodgers (who should have their ownership situation settled), the Angels, the Cubs, the White Sox, the Rangers, and of course the Yankees. Sabathia will only be 31 next year and assuming he stays healthy he could almost certainly get a deal at least as good as the 7-year, $154 million that the Yankees offered to Lee. Olney thinks the Yankees should be proactive and sign Sabathia to an extension now rather than risking CC changing his mind and opting out after the season.

it will have to do for now.. the entire game set is not available for blu-ray yet, all they have is the dvd....

Win it all "again"? That would imply he was even alive the last time the Giants won it all, which I doubt is the case since he'd have to be a senior citizen.

Looks like Cliff Lee has just made bulletin board material for the Yanks and Sox when he send a text message to Ian Kinsler saying "sorry (for leaving the Rangers) but, see you in the WS".

Sorry man, I wanted to get the 09 series for my Yanks but, no dice since it doesn't exsist on blu-ray.

I'm sure they'll exist some day for MLB championship teams. The NBA started releasing them by putting out the complete NBA Finals games on Blu-Ray for the Lakers this year. I think there are also NFL compilations available for the Saints playoff run in 2009 and Steelers 2008 playoff run. MLB needs to get with the program.

i sure hope so, i would love a collectors set like the one Lakers got... i dont see why MLB wouldn't do it either...

Not just current teams/championships either. I'd like to see some greatest game compilations like those that exist on DVD if it's possible to convert them to Blu.

For anyone interested, the MLB Network will be airing Game 7 of the 1960 World Series in 10 minutes (8pm Eastern).

I guess the story is that footage of this game had been lost for a long time, until a copy was found in Bing Crosby's wine cellar. Or something.

If you're a fan of old baseball, or watching the Yankees lose, you might want to check it out. The Pirates won the game 10-9, but the box score makes it look like it was a wild finish.

Yankees were up 5-4 going into the 8th.
Yankees picked up 2 more runs to take a 7-4 lead into the bottom of the inning.
Pittsburgh scored 5 runs in the 8th to take a 9-7 lead into the 9th.
Yankees picked up 2 runs to tie the game going into the bottom of the 9th.
Pirates scored 1 in the 9th to win the game and the series.

Bobby Richardson, of the Yankees, was named the series MVP. It remains the only time in World Series history that the MVP came from the losing team.

Edit: Thought I should add that based on the commercial I saw last night, they're either going to mix a sort of panel discussion into the game, or show that afterward. Bob Costas hosted an event at some theater, where the screened the game for the capacity crowd. Living Pirates and Yankees, as well as Roberto Clemente's wife, were on hand for the event.
