They'll be one of the league leaders in SO because Vlad is a free swinger (and a huge strikeout victim).

Vlad actually only had 68 SO this past year so he doesn't strike out nearly as much as others do... But with Reynolds and Lee we added #1 in SO, and #30 lmao had we added LaRoche it would have been #1 and #4.

Uh, no. We have two Solid starters (CC and Hughes) even though that might not be much, the O's have NOTHING.

Matusz is a beast even when going 6+ innings and getting runs tacked on his ERA because the relief is so terrible... No single pitcher in baseball would win with the terrible relief staff including closing not CC, not Hughes nobody .

Relief Stats:
Tied for 27th in Saves
24th in ERA
28th in Batting Avg
25th in Earned Runs
25th in Runs
29th in Hits
Last in SV%
Last in BLSV
Last in SLG% (.004 more and my entire relief staff would have the same slugging % as Jason Heyward )


As for AL stats:
2nd worst ERA
3rd worst in Saves
2nd worst in Earned Runs
2nd worst in Runs given up.
Last in Batting Avg

I'd like to see CC win 20 games with that

He gave the Cards a discount with his last contract and has been underpaid his whole career. Now he's getting ready to sign what will be his last substantial contract and is going to want to get as much as possible.

Pujols' only problem is he has less leverage because neither the Red Sox or the Yankees will be interested in him since they are both set for a long time at first base, but I'm sure a team like the Angels would spend huge money for him. I wouldn't be surprised if a deal isn't done by his deadline and he becomes a free agent. I still think the most likely option is a return to St. Louis, but he might need to become a free agent and get other teams offers to get St. Louis to increase their offer.
