Colby pitched a 5 H, 1 BB, 7 SO, CG shutout tonight.

And then to top things off, Cliff Lee fell to 2-4 on the season. Sucka! We're supposed to face that chump on Saturday in Phila. I hope we blow him up. I'm still pissed.

The kid is 24 years old... does KC management enjoy torturing him? Might have been a good idea to pull him after, oh I dunno... the 7th or 8th run.

Horrible breakdown in management yesterday keeping Tim Lincecum in the game after 114 pitches. Next pitch a 3 run blast! Wake up Righetti spaghetti. Your bullpen was greased and ready to go.

Mariano Rivera has had 7 different seasons where he gave up fewer earned runs than Mazzaro had in last night's outing. Not surprisingly Mazzaro was demoted to AAA after the game.

Ya, but the Royals manager still should not have done that to him. He gave up 10 runs in one inning and he sends the guy back out to pitch another inning? Was that really necessary? I'm thinking there had to be some dislike between Royals management and Mazzaro.

Wow the Mariners' manager lost his cool and got sent to the showers early in the 9th, we won 2-1. Be nice to get Delmon Young and Joe Mauer back to bolster our bats a bit, especially with Jim Thome and Justin Morneau struggling so far.

There have already been 30 games postponed due to rain this season, including 4 postponements last night. Last year there was a total of 21 postponements the entire season. That means a lot of doubleheaders later in the year and fewer days off.

Michael Cuddyer was close to Harmon apparently, he had 2 of the 3 hits allowed by Hernandez last night.

What a weird year for the Yankees. Their franchise players like Jeter and Posada are playing like crap and the old timers they brought in like Freddy Garcia and Colon are keeping them afloat so far. Colon is pitching another great game today.

Except for Mariano Rivera. He's as unhittable at 41 as he was at 30... This is the 4th consecutive year he has an ERA under 1.80 and his ERA has only topped 2.00 ONE time in the past nine seasons.
