Why yes he does owe Andruw money! Among others, including our beloved announcer.

Retired outfielder Manny Ramirez is the Dodgers' largest creditor, according to the bankruptcy filing. The Dodgers owe Ramirez $21 million, followed by Andruw Jones ($11 million), Hiroki Kuroda ($4.5 million), Rafael Furcal ($3.7 million) and the Chicago White Sox ($3.5 million, for Juan Pierre).

The list of creditors includes much of the current Dodgers roster, Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully ($152,778), the city of Los Angeles ($240,563 in tax debt) and two players yet to play for the Dodgers (prospects Zach Lee at $3.4 million and Alexander Santana at $499,500).

As much as i HATE the Dodgers, i actually feel bad for the teams players and fans... What a Shi*Ty Owner McCourt has turned out to be... At least Matt Kemp will be a free agent next year... I would love to see him in Orange & Black

Keep in mind we also have Rowands contract coming off the books, and thats like $12mil, & only 2 more years of Zito not to mention a few others...

That's true but then you have hefty raises to Brian Wilson, Freddy Sanchez, and Matt Cain. Luckily they have Posey and Bumgardner in arbitration for quite awhile. Doesn't matter anyway Kemp has one more arb year left next year and our (hopefully) new owners will lock him up. He's ours!!!

i know, im just desperate for some offense, we can only win 1 run games for so long... Sucks we lost Posey & Sanchez this year... really kills our chances at making the playoffs... But lucky were in a pretty weak division, so we should be fine... Only time will tell

Yep pretty weak division for sure. Arizona is in second place for crying out loud. What the hell happened to them? They were god awful last year.

It still boggles my mind that the Giants gave Zito such an absurd contract. He's still under contract at nearly $20 mill per year for 2012 and 2013 and they cannot buy him out until 2014. With the Giants Zito is 41-58 with a 4.47 ERA. Those are #4 or 5 starter kind of numbers he's putting up while making ace money.

What a joke. Scully has been the voice of the Dodgers for over 60 years and not only does he have to watch the McCourt's run the franchise into the groud, he doesn't get paid either.

You and everyone else... But at least hes still with the team giving us some production, and also helping other pitchers with his experiance... Some teams are still paying guys who arent even on the team anymore

Ya, despite all his problems on the mound Zito is a class act off the field and with teammates. Zito has charities and donates a ton of his own cash to them. Everytime I hear him on the radio or TV he comes off as a terrific all-around guy and his teammates seem to love him. As far as his pitching goes I'm really not sure what happened. He had great stuff in Oakland. Seems more mental than anything else.

Zito's contract is outrageous, though I suppose him being a good guy in the clubhouse and off the field helps. At least he's no Manny, who both underachieved on the field and was a douchebag to boot.

This isn't even close. Gilbert's contract is 10x more devestating for the Magic than Zito's is for the Giants for one simple reason - the salary cap. MLB doesn't have one while the NBA does. Gilbert's contract eats up something like 1/4th of the Magic's cap.
