Big 4 game series coming up vs the Phils, who have won 6 in a row... Cliff Lee pitching tonight will be looking for some retribution after the Giants beat him twice last year in the World Series..

This could be a long series for us

Forget that, a huger (is that even a word?) 3 game series between the Yanks and Bo Sox starting tomorrow (1st place in the AL east will be at stake).

Feels weird to say but I enjoy Giants-Phillies matchups more than Red Sox-Yankees this season. The Philly-SF games just produce pitching matchups second to none.

I'm starting to think of Nova as your possible #2 starter. He had another dominant start tonight to improve to 10-4. He's showing a lot of improvement.

Cubs have a 5-game winning streak after their road sweep of Pittsburgh. It's their longest winning streak of the year and their first road sweep of the year. I still don't feel great about the Cubs next couple years with all the money they've got tied up in Soriano and Zambrano but at least they're showing signs of life.

I don't see Nova at two for the post season due to his lack of experience. He'll probably be a 4 or 5.

Lack of experiance shouldnt be an issue, see Giants pitching last year, and i dont mean Lincecum or Cain who had no playoff experiance... Madison Bumgarner wasent called up until late June and only pitched a handful of games to end the year.. Yet he was one of our best pitchers in the playoffs, especially game 4 of the world series pitching 8 shutout innings

Nova seems like the real deal, i think in the playoffs he can shine! but thats only if hes given the opportunity to....

I'd forgotten how good Garcia was in the postseason till I just looked it up. He's 6-2 with a 3.11 ERA career. His teams won 5 of 7 postseason series he's pitched in. Only two losses to the Yankees.

I have a feeling that Burnett will stay that the 2 spot though.
