Bumgarner: 7-11, 3.49 ERA
Lincecum: 11-9, 2.58 ERA
Vogelsong: 10-2, 2.47 ERA

Those are all very impressive ERA numbers. But as you can see only Vogelsong has had any real run support. Their pitching is terrific, I'm just not sure they can compete with that horrid offense.
Wow our ERA is pretty good, better than i thought they would be...

Like ive said all year, if we had anything remotly close to a decent offense, we would win this division easily.... Well the Beltran expirament was a fail, Giants just put him on the 15 day DL.. , and i have a feeling the pitching prospect we gave up will be something special

He has been pretty amazing so far this year. He has most of his career, but he will probably finally get the recognition this year.

Sabathia was right there (and probably a bit ahead) but his last two starts (which were not good), probably killed his chances.

I really think Girardi should be considered for AL coach of the year. The Yankees are on pace to win 100 games and possibly win the AL East against a stacked Red Sox team with what I really consider one of the least talented (on paper) Yankee teams in a very long time. Yankees are also tops in MLB in run differential at +180. And I never really considered Girardi to be that good of a coach before this season.

Wait a minute....you don't think our 2-5 pitchers of AJ Burnett, Freddy Garcia, Bartolo Colon, and unproven Rookie Ian Nova on paper were of the same caliber as the Red Sox

If the Indians win the AL central, I really believe Manny Acta would be the front runner. Also, you mean manager of the year (not coach).

Man, Jeter has been on fire since he got his 3000 hit.
Tally the 4 hits he got tonight and he's inching closer and closer to .300 BA.

We are hot!!! If we win tonight, forget it. I have all the faith in Colby but Weaver's no chump. They clearly saved their best for last in this series. We got lucky in our last series against the Mariners in that we didn't have to face Felix. At least in this series we won't have to face Haren.

We're going to Chicago for a short, tough series but then we come back and will have the BoSox waiting on us. I can't wait for that series. Last time we played them, we swept them to open the season. We're creeping up the standings. Watch out Yanks/ Sox

That's a totally different Bo Sox team than now. Also, you guys are still 5 games behind us in the standings.

Yeah but not too long ago, it was a whole 10 games. I agree about the Red Sox part. That's why I'm excited to see where we're at.

Man, Mariano almost lost it last night after the reviewed "HR" call (when it clearly wasn't a HR). I've never seen Mo so furious.

Lincecum pitches from the stretch, huh? I wonder how many pitchers in the majors do this.

I was really happy when we won that second game in this series because I fully expected us to lose games three and four. Mike Minor gets bad luck with the draws in the pitching duels for us... in the last Phillies series, he was paired against Halladay. (not to say he's a schmuck, though, he's just young-and-upcoming, career win/loss record of 5-4... the same career win/loss record as Brandon Beachy, too)

EDIT: OMG Freddie Freeman makes some amazing defensive plays at 1B, he just caught a foul pop-up off Pablo Sandoval's bat in a sea of hands reaching over the tarp... if he doesn't win the Gold Glove popularity contest then I'm going to be pissed.

Why does Cashman not get more credit? Yes he overpaid for A-rod and Burnett but he can. He also can get Russell Martin, Andruw Jones, Eric Chavez, Freddy Garcia, and Bartolo Colon for almost nothing and get great value for them. I think if he worked for another team with less of a budget he would still find the great values and wouldn't waste money and bigger bad contracts.
