Pitch counts are for wimps though. Since all pitchers are managed by wimps these days, I knew he'd be out.

In 1996 there were 195 starts where a pitcher threw 125 pitches or more. By 2007, it was down to 14.

Check out this Wakefield 1993 start:

10IP 6H 2ER 10BB 1K 172 pitches

You can't count that. He throws only a Knuckle ball. That pitch barely has any wear on the arm.

Only thing I can think of with that guy is he can't handle the added pressure of being a Yankee. We've seen that time and time again with some of the big Yankee signings. Soriano has been money for quite a few years, then he's mediocre this season.

I will say this, the ump has the most inconsistent I've ever seen. Not using it as a excuse but just wanted to point it out.
