It really is. Texas won 6 games more with a more difficult schedule in the regular season. Home field likely cost the Rangers the championship.

The last two championships St. Louis won they did it with only 90 and 83 (worst record ever for a champion) wins. Both extremely unimpressive regular seasons. They earned it though.

Texas isn't going anywhere. They should be back atop the AL West over the next few years. I know how you feel, being a lifelong Braves fan. World Series losses hurt.

And look on the bright side. You guys just gained a LOT of fans in the 3rd world.

Kudos to the Cards. As much as I had hoped Texas would get their 1st World Title I have to tip my hat to Tony Larussa and the Cards. Between the '06 and '11 post season, they were underdogs in every series they played and won ALL 6. The Cards now have 11 World Titles, 2nd only to the Yanks 27. St. Louis has Great, loyal, knowledgeable fans and I hope they enjoy this Title.

Berkman was MVP IMO, but whatever. Freese had a great series too. I think he may be the 1st MVP of both the LCS and World Series in the same year.

Nevermind, looks like it has happened a few times. Interestingly enough all 6 guys who have won LCS and WS MVP in the same year have been from the NL.

Wish they'd keep the kids off the field. This isn't family day. Celebrations on field should not include whiny kids.
