Hmm I'm trying to decide what to spend my amazon gift card on reserve the Orioles World Series blu-ray this year after they beat the Nationals, or save it for next year when the Nationals beat the Orioles. decisions

So much for the "feel good" story of Pittsburgh turning things around. They're going to miss .500 for the 20th straight season and they just got no hit.

October 14th will mark the 20th anniversary of this...

They haven't missed it yet. If they win their last five games, they would be 81-81. However; the likelihood of them winning the last five games is a different matter altogether.

He better not get screwed out of the MVP award, but I could see the voters give it to Trout. Trout has had a great season but Cabrera is the best player in the AL this year.

Anyone who is able to win the triple crown, a feat no one since the 40's has been able to accomplish, automatically deserves the MVP IMO.

Except for Mickey Mantle (1956), Frank Robinson (1966) and Carl Yastrzemski (1967)...

But Ted Williams actually won it twice, and neither time did he win the MVP.
