And your suggestion means you have to win it in 5 or 7 if you're the team with home field advantage, or 4 or 6 for the other team. Why is that any worse than the current home field needing 6 or 7 and the other needing 4 or 5. If you don't have home field advantage, you should have to work harder to win at home.

Week 11.

It's a disadvantage to have to play games 6 & 7 on the road as opposed to 5 & 7. With the 2-2-1-1-1, you still have game 6 at home.
