I attended the Blue Jays game on Saturday, and I must say - this team isn't going anywhere this season. The hitting is amongst the worst in the majors. Today it was seven hits scattered over 11 innings. The big names (with Reyes gone until the All-Star game after forgetting how to slide into second base) are barely putting the ball in play; Bautista, Encarnacion, Lawrie (recently returned from the DL), and Rasmus are outright terrible.

What's our longest winning streak - 2 games?? We've only one a single series. The pitching has been terribly inconsistent. It's gotten so bad that we now have the General Manager talking about how the off-season constructed a team that wasn't "only" built for 2013, but for beyond.

Yeah, great. Here's to 2014!

Was just looking at the Braves TV schedule for the next week or so, and I don't think I've ever seen them this nationally televised (outside of the old TBS days). 3 games on ESPN in 4 days, and 5 nationally televised games in 6 days.

Saturday: Fox against Detroit
Sunday: ESPN against Detroit
Monday: ESPN against Washington
Wednesday: ESPN against Washington
Thursday: MLB Network against Washington

Still plenty of time to turn things around, team chemistry takes time to develop.

I wonder who will hit their first hr this year; Bruce or Stanton.. both have been awful! imagine having both of them on your fantasy team right now.. it would be a rough 3 weeks thus far

As I've shown before, Stanton has always been a slow starter (he's hit 3 career HRs in April). His peak HR months are May and August.

he has zero RBI's thus far.. he has never started off this slow, Miami has an awful team and he will have a horrible season because of that.. nobody gets on base for him to bring home if he starts hitting.. I still have a feeling he gets traded to the Mets at some point this year for their 2 big prospects

True... 12 games into last season, he had 4 RBIs. 2 in 2011. He had 9 in 2010, but that was in June.
