Yes, there's a bit less chance of failure in the NBA with super teams given the dynamics of the game where one or two guys can carry a team to a title. Miami has lived up to the hype. Boston's trio of KG/Allen/Pierce also won a title and nearly a second. The Lakers team of Shaq/Kobe/Malone/Payton came up short though.

Yeah well the escalating destructive attitudes of Shaq and Kobe may have resulted in that failure.

no the worst call was the horrible call the ump blew for Gallardo (I believe that's his name) on Detriots perfect game a few years ago (or last year, I can't remember either

If Wells, Youk, Hafner, and now Cano keep mashing like this the lineup is going to be scary when the other big bats comes back off the DL. Headed into the season I was saying all along that as long as we can play .500 ball to the all star break we'll be in good shape.
