I know. Gotta give credit to the Jays they kept fighting. But Buehrle and Dickey look shot.

Finally....3 in the 6th and 4 in the 7th to erase a 6-1 defecit. Motown's bullpen isn't good if you can get past their starters. Then again our starting rotation has been BRUTAL.

Great to have "Joey Bats" back in the lineup and Lawrie will be ready to go at home against the Yanks in a week and a half. I'll bet he's chomping at the bit.

Prince Fielder got an infield single today. It was so surprising that the Blue Jays manager had to come argue it.

He runs surprisingly well for his size, he had also hit into what looked like a tailor made double play earlier in the game and was able to beat the throw to first.

Miami was shut out for the 4th time in 9 games. They might actually be worse than Houston this season.

Both teams also get hurt by being around some really good teams. I think it was Buster Olney that suggested the winner of the AL West would be the one that loses to the Astros the least. It could happen between the Braves and Nationals with the Marlins as well.

With Gerald Laird back behind plate to catch Teheran on Friday, Fredi Gonzalez suggested he might consider starting Evan Gattis at 1B to keep him in the lineup. He played 7 games at 1B in A-ball in 2011.... but he's hitting .391 with 3 HRs and a 1.266 OBPS. He was supposed to be the backup catcher, but he's started 4 straight and 5 of the last 6. At least until McCann comes back, he'll be the starting C unless Teheran is pitching. And I guess we'll see what happens when McCann comes back.

Soler went into second base and got tangled up with Clearwater second baseman Carlos Alonso, who completed the throw to first base for the inning-ending double play. Soler was apparently stepped on by Alonso and words were exchanged. Both benches cleared. No punches were thrown, however.

When everyone returned to the dugout, Soler grabbed a bat and charged the Clearwater dugout and went after Clearwater with the bat. He had to be pulled away and back into the dugout by Javier Baez and Daytona hitting coach Mariano Duncan. I initially reported that he had hit the walls of the dugout with the bat. That's unclear at this time. He was apparently swinging it in that direction.

Soler was obviously ejected and is looking at a lengthy suspension.
