The Nationals are certainly not as invincible as we were led to believe. Zimmerman is a mess at third and I don't think his arm is going to become magically better during the season. If one of their primary starting pitchers suddenly went down, their season could quickly hit a snag. I still haven't seen the top velocity from Strausberg that he had before surgery. I don't think the easy 100 MPH is ever coming back to him as a starter.

What is scary about the Braves is that Heyward has looked awful at the plate and BJ has been as bad as Justin has been good. Both Heyward and Upton will eventually hit.

16,200 is pathetic, but the Marlins have had 3 home games with worse attendance, with 15,933 at Monday's game against the Nats, 14,222 in their second home game against the Braves, and 13,810 the following night against the Braves.

What's sad is that there's virtually no way Loria is going to sell the team anytime soon. If he sold the team this year he'd have to give 7.5% of the proceeds to Miami-Dade county, and if he sold next year the county would get 5%, so the earliest he'd likely sell would be 2015. By that time many fans may be turned off from the Marlins for good.

#Braves M.Minor 9-5 w/ 2.00 ERA in 18 starts since 7/1/12. In his non-wins, Braves scored 1 or no runs while he was in 7 of 9 games

How's this for bad luck. Scott Posednik is from the small town of West, TX and his most recent team (not sure if he's retired or still playing) was the Boston Red Sox. Boston and West, TX both suffered catastrophic events this week.

That wasn't the Braves' hitters fault. It was one of the worst umpired games I've seen in a few years. Wade Davis was consistently getting strike calls a foot off the plate. If I didn't know better, Doug Eddings had Wade Davis on his fantasy team and wanted him to have a great game.
