I , of course , have not followed this series as much as the NL but the media has all but accused the umps of totally trashing these games with bad calls , we have had a few but not so bad.

So you came out of posting retirement because of a funny video I posted? To even see that video you had to have been monitoring this thread. It's much easier to make yourself known and cheer on a team after they have "phucking" won the title isn't it?

And go ahead and remind me the Dodgers lost. I don't care. I can easily say that my team sucked against the Phililes. The Phil's were the better team.

You are shooting from the hip without taking aim, I have never said my age I applied for my tickets in the Vet when the waiting list was like 2000 people long as opposed to five years now I got my seats one year to the day after applying.

The Santa you are speaking of was no typical Santa some say it was a drunk Dodger fan that had never seen snow before and got lost at a Christmas party.

It seemed like it was only game 4 that involved a lot of the media attacks on the umps, which might've been deserved, because some of those calls weren't even close.

But for whatever reason it seems like ESPN really wants an instant replay, as if they have some vested interest in it.

I don't really care, but if I had to choose, I'd probably avoid using it. It's just a game, and there'll naturally be some mistakes made.

If they're going to use instant replays, why not just replace umpires altogether with technology? On most plays, it's obvious what the result is. If a guy is out by 10 feet, he can just jog back to the dugout. No need for an umpire to say he was out.

On close plays, the lone official in the replay booth can determine the outcome, and play a cymbal crashing noise if the guy is out, or an elephant noise if he's safe.

When batting, all strikes and balls will be determined by QuesTech (which is already installed in many MLB parks). Using the results from that, giant red lights will go off when balls are thrown, and green lights when strikes are thrown.

In any case, I don't understand MLB's stance on instant replays. They added them for home runs, but nothing else, which seems dumb. Either add replays to cover everything, or don't have any replays at all. Don't argue that replays will lengthen the game or hurt it's tradition, if you are already allowing them for certain calls.

I personally can't stand this pitch tracker nonsense. It reminds me of when they put a puck tracker on in the NHL. That was beyond annoying. Too much technology.

Sometimes I wonder how much money these stations waste on trying to have cool graphical crap to show, which is ultimately meaningless.

But I guess the more crappy graphics they show, the more graphics they can try to sell to advertisers.

I didn't notice, but I'm sure the pitch-tracker thing has a sponsor.

Although, I have to admit that a few years ago, before FOX started to really overdo the whole robot thing with football, they did a cool thing during the NFL playoffs, where they had the endzones lift open, and a robot crawled out from underneath, and did something. I don't remember what, exactly, but it looked pretty awesome at the time.

Speaking of toilets, did you see the bathrooms at NYS when you were there?

It's class warfare at it's finest.

The bathrooms on the field level are pretty nice, and pretty clean (although I went to a game in early May, so maybe they were only clean because they were still new). TVs on the walls too, to see what's going on, so you don't miss the game. Pretty nice stuff.

Then during a rain delay, I decided to go up to the upper deck, to check out the rest of the stadium. Up there they have smaller bathrooms, no TVs on the walls, and there are no dividers between the urinals.

At least they didn't have those trough things that people just walk up and pee into. I grew up with those at the local minor league stadium, and always thought they were incredibly disgusting.

It is a place where you can just be yourself and have a good time plus extremely informative , it is a compilation of a cpl of neighbor sites that just got too overbearing.
* I am in no way saying that no one can be them selves here as I love this place , it too is very, very informative. I always send those guys here when they ask questions about Blu.
