We're 8-2 in our last 10 and have won 4 straight (against Boston & SF), yet we're still 7 games under .500. The Bluebirds need to concentrate on winning each series and not think about having to win 95 to get in. If we can win most of our series (85-90%) by the all-star break, we'll be back in the race.....we need Reyes back (in a big way).

Actually, as a situational reliever, Phil Coke has been very good against left handed batters, great to come in and get one or two guys out but terrible against righties. And Quintin Berry filled in for Austin Jackson last year while he was on the DL. Personally, as a leadoff hitter, I'll take Jackson over Granderson. Their OBP's are comparable, since the trade, but Jackson is 6 years younger. Granderson has hit more home runs in NY than in DET, but the reason for that is obvious, and Jackson's job as a hitter is not to hit home runs.

Sorry to butt in on your conversation. I'm stuck here late waiting for something and the routine work is already done, so I'm digging deep for interesting topics.

I'm almost afraid to see the game tonight. That rain day to start the series with the Nationals made them go cold, among other things.

First was 8 years ago. Hope he comes back strong.

He's having a tough time adjusting. I'm sure he'll get it figured out, but there are lots of idiot Braves fans that want him benched or sent to AAA.
