Report: Alex Rodriguez was a no-show for Friday’s scheduled rehab game

In fact, I know they won't buy it. But apparently A-Rod felt like he needed a night off to clear his mind because Joel Sherman of the New York Post is reporting that Rodriguez was a complete no-show to his scheduled rehab appearance on Friday night.

While virtually everyone knows about Bobby Bonilla's deferred compensation agreement with the Mets that pays him $1.193 million per year for 25 years, Bonilla also has a second deferred compensation agreement, and Bret Saberhagen has one as well:

The linked story said that Danny Tartabull's representatives (the same reps as Bonilla's) tried to talk him into a deferred comp agreement for his $25.5 million contract with the Yankees, but that Tartabull refused. Tartabull was recently listed as one of the biggest deadbeat dads in Los Angeles, owing $276,000 in child support.
