Our long national nightmare is finally over! Fox execs are just about the only people on Earth that think people want to listen to Buck and McCarver.

All-star games these days are too much of an exhibition to really enjoy. Before 2000, the players gave more of a real effort to win. I guess all the players are making too much money these days to care about an exhibition game.

I thought Leyland did the only thing he could do.

He could have sat Mariano down and called Nathan to warm up when the AL scored the 3rd run. Nathan would have had enough time to warm up considering the AL was still on the field and Neil Diamond had to perform Sweet Caroline. I think you're completely wrong in this regard. Like I said was Nathan going to give up 4 runs in 8th? I highly doubt it.

Yeah, I'm a Texas fan too. And on occasion Nathan simply can't get anyone out.

It's rare, but it happens. And that's against a normal team, these are All Stars, if anyone will feast on a pitcher who doesn't quite have it it's these guys.

You are pissed based on a total assumption.

And FWIW you don't mess around with warmups in the All Star game either. Getting a person warmed up multiple times is just as bad as pitching multiple innings. I'm almost surprised that they haven't found a way to eliminate pitchers from the All Star game altogether, the risk is so high (relatively).
