His numbers are back to about where they were before he started juicing. Toronto should have known what they were getting.

I don't know what the Blue Jays were thinking giving him a two-year deal. He was average at best his whole career and then had a steroid-aided career year. Wouldn't you want to see what he can do when he's off PEDs before giving him a multi-year deal?

Some idiots still believe that steroids don't help performance in baseball, which is patently false. Melky got fat and was eating his way out of MLB, until he went on PEDs after his horrible year in Atlanta.

And why does it matter? He hadn't thrown a pitch. No pinch hitter was called. Hell the pitcher hadn't even left the bullpen.

How can a team could gain advantage via this rule?

Rules are rules. Some are stupid. Infield fly rule can be called in the middle of the outfield.
