Yup and here's why:

Rodriguez's discipline under the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program is based on his use and possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance-enhancing substances, including Testosterone and human Growth Hormone, over the course of multiple years. Rodriguez's discipline under the Basic Agreement is for attempting to cover-up his violations of the Program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioner's investigation. The suspension, which will become effective on Thursday, August 8th, will cover 211 Championship Season games and any 2013 Postseason games in which Rodriguez otherwise would have been eligible to play.

Yup, but he's gonna fight it and lose games into the 2015 season, which I hope by then he would hang up his cleats. This is good news for us. Next year we'll be under the cap and we'll be able to reset the cap costs.

No way A Rod is retiring before his contract is up following the 2017 season. Even if he's completely ineffective when he comes back from his suspension he'll keep playing until he's collected every dollar he can get from his contract.

Urbina actually just got out of prison in late 2012. He wanted to make an MLB comeback but there apparently wasn't any real interest for a 39 year old pitcher who spent the last 6 years in a Venezuelan prison.

Lol I actually had the guy over my parents for dinner when I was a kid and he was with the rangers. My cousin who worked with Pepsi in Venzuela was good friends with him and was able to have him come over while he was in town and had him sign my Rangers doll. I have a polaroid of me and him somewhere at my parents house. I was really shocked when I heard the news about him being involved in a murder and knowing I sat on the lap of a murderer lol

Here's his autograph that's probably worth a peeled rotten banana by now
