I didn't expect the Braves to run away with the division like this. The offense has under-performed for a good portion of the year, and the Braves don't really have a shutdown starter, so I'm not sure what the playoffs will bring. Bullpen has been unreal considering we lost Venters and O'Flaherty, so if the offense can hand the game to them late, we could make a run. But I don't think the Braves will handle the Tigers (from the way they dominated the interleague series).

I do believe the Braves have the easiest remaining schedule in the league, so they could get top seed.

They do. They're the best home team in MLB by far and their remaining schedule is 20 road games, 28 home games after tonight. The only games they have left against teams with a legit playoff chance are Cleveland and St. Louis. Braves have a decent shot at 100 wins.

Tigers need to open some distance between them the Indians and KC, if they can sweep Cleveland and KC then i think well be in good shape in the central. Crappy thing is as good as Detroit is doing the central is truly just a pathetic division as we would only be in 2nd in the East.

The talks between Lilly and the Giants fell through and he won't be signing with them at this time. The Giants and Lilly couldn't agree on a designated callup date.
