I'm not really sure but it sounds like a massive conflict of interest at the very least. I would think anything learned about the A-Rod case in a prior case would not be admissible in court.

Im hearing concussion, they also said pitcher was obviously shaken up about it as it took him a few batters to get back into rhythm so there was no intent no history.

There's video on this link of Heyward getting hit in the jaw. Doesn't look good. Everyone knew right away it was bad.

Hopefully no broken jaw.

I've always believed that the result of the appeal will still be that Arod will be suspended through the end of next year. Although, obviously, that'll be less games than the 211 originally proposed, because of these games he's getting back while the appeal is going.

I'm impressed by the presence of mind of the catcher to catch him as he was falling.

I hope Heyward recovers physically, and I really hope he's not traumatized by the experience. How hard would it be to stand back in the batters' box after that happens to you?

What's with the Braves and Citi field? Hudson suffered a gruesome season injury there and now Heyward has a gruesome injury at Citi today.

Yeah, certainly nothing intentional. Just one of those pitches that got away and unfortunately hit a guy in the face.

But it does look bad for the Braves playing at Citi Field. Last series, Hudson got his ankle broken. Now Heyward gets hit in the face

Hopefully he won't hover over the plate quite so much. The pitch wasn't THAT far inside, it's just that Heyward likes to lean in close to the plate.
