Haha, I know it sounds ridiculous, and somewhat spoiled, but I don't even remember what it's like for the Yankees to be in the WS. 6 years ago is a long time.

And as far as winning one goes, 2000 feels like ages ago. I think I was still wet behind the ears at that point.

Haha, no way!

You might just have to put me on your ignore list for a while (I promise I'll change it after Halloween).

I was glad to see A-Rod look genuinely happy after the game, as if I was expecting him to pretend to celebrate. And the group hug between him Jeter and Teix was a weird mix of the old guard + new guard + newer guard (since A-Rod and Teix are locked into the Yankees for years to come).

ESPN has fired Steve Phillips for having sex with an ESPN production assistant. I'm surprised ESPN is publicly reporting this story. I would have figured they would have tried to do this quietly. ESPN shouldn't be surprised by this, he did the same thing in 1998 when he worked for the Mets.

I will be rooting for the Phillies. Cliff Lee has always been one of my favorite pitchers. It should be a very good series.

No breakdowns of thoughts yet but I will say this, the WS all NE is really good for everyone in these parts such a nice boost to the local economy and the local spirit, no Halloween pun intended, everyone is just pumped up ^^.

Yeah, I heard about that last night when they said it on SportsCenter, and thought it was weird that they'd openly report it.

I found the story odd, because I've heard/read Phillips' wife described as a "babe", and the girl he had a fling with at ESPN was, well... look her up.

its so weird lol I never cared about those personal issues but I will miss his commenting on baseball
