It's not a coincidence that the Braves have had far less success in the playoffs once they couldn't spend money on free agents. They haven't won a playoff series since 2001. Their system has allowed them to overachieve in the regular season but is mostly flawed for a short series, where premium talent determines the victor.

When they have signed free agents, they've had to go after second-tier players like Dan Uggla and BJ Upton after their primes.

Anyone who gives him 10 years will be just as dumb as the Angels. We're paying for the A Rod contract, and if they don't come strong next year we'll be paying for the Sabathia and Tex contracts. We don't need to overextend ourselves. Sign Kuroda to a short term deal. We have soriano and Gardy in the OF. We just need to resign Grandy Man to a short term deal. 3-4 years. We need to find a 3B and a C. That's our needed positions. For pitching we have CC Kuroda Phelps(who I like) Nova and hope Pineda comes back. It's robertson's time to be the closer.

Cano is the big question of the offseason.

I missed the side angle last night, mlb.com was showing it all over there website today, honestly Reddick has a huge case here and tbh im not sure how that wasn't called fan interference. I can truly say after rewatching it on MLB.com once you take the emotion out of the play, I think Reddick may have caught that ball.

That play had changed the course of the game and definitely the series. You are most likely looking at JV vs Sonny tomorrow, if he can shut down CoCo, I think they can win the series tomorrow. The problem here is if the Tigers win, the win and all future wins will be tainted by potentially a bad call.
