I wouldn't mind Phillips, but I want Homer added into a deal if we have to pay Phillips crazy contract.

The Yankees are one of the teams on Phillips' limited no-trade clause and he reportedly wants more money to agree to waive the clause for a trade to New York, so even if the Yankees and Reds agree to a trade they'll still have to get Phillips to agree to it.

Yup, but it didn't even come to that because Cashman flat out said no to an even swap.

I'd rather the minor change to the game compared to the extreme sacrifices those players are making because they feel they have to or lose their job.

Catcher needs to give runner clearance like any other base

And he should've. Not a good deal for New York. I can't think of a better second baseman to fill Cano's spot (in term of athletic ability and team influence). Gardner gets on base way too much.

Garnder is going to be at best a platoon player (he's not going to be in CF since Soriano is there and no to RF since Beltran is there and they want to keep the DH spot open for a rotating basis to give Tex, Jeter, Beltran, Soriano, Mcann breaks).

Catcher can not block plate and runner can not make running contact. If the catcher is standing over the plate, like they do at second or third on a throw, the runner must slide.

I know. The Yankees can get more than a 32 year old second baseman that's tied into an expensive contract after going .255 last year.

Earlier they said they were done, except for a reliever, so that should be it for the Tigers from their perspective.

And you love losing to us in the playoffs so I guess its a fair trade off

as I said man I dont agree with the signing lol he did not do well on the Yankees last couple of years but maybe on a 1 year contract hell be inclined to do better idk.
