Per ESPN the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw have agreed to a 7-year, $215 million contract. While some thought Kershaw could get as much as $300 million this could benefit him long-term because he'll only be 32 when the deal ends so he could be in line for another huge payday if he stays healthy.
Apparently Kershaw can opt-out after 5 years, so it's possible he'll be able to hit free agency when he's 30. He could be looking at an even bigger contract after the 2018 season if he's still pitching well.

Teams will now be allowed to show all replays on the in-park video board, regardless of whether the play was reviewed.
To initiate a review, a manager will verbally inform the umpires of his intention in a timely manner. The challenge may involve multiple portions of the same play, but each must be specified during the appeal.
Teams will be allowed to have a club employee monitor video and communicate with the manager in deciding whether or not to challenge a call. Both the home and road teams must have equal access to all video, but no additional electronic equipment will be allowed in the dugouts.
The changes to instant replay will first be utilized during Spring Training. Clubs will also be allowed to show all replays on the ballpark scoreboard regardless of whether a play has been reviewed.
Instant replay will be utilized during some televised games in Spring Training for the purposes of educating on-field personnel on the rules of the new system.
Tigers avoided arbitration with RHP Max Scherzer by agreeing to a one-year, $15.525 million contract.
The figure comes in $1.925 million north of MLBTradeRumors.com's projection of $13.6 million. Scherzer certainly earned the monster payday in his final year of arbitration after putting up a 21-3 record, 2.90 ERA and 240 strikeouts last season. He'll be looking to repeat his Cy Young form in 2014 in what will be his walk year.
He earned the cash, and I'm really excited to see what Scherzer can do in his final year. He's been really inconsistent before last year, which is why I don't think he'll stay Cy Young good. 15 wins would be nice.

You're repeating the same facts that have been nailed into our heads for weeks now. Plenty of Japanese pitchers made the transition easily. It's still smarter than signing Ervin Santana.
Tanaka vs Cabrera? He'll probably pitch against him twice this year. Nobody cares about Detroit. Nobody.
