You say that like 2.9 means nothing. You know my stance on the Yankees I hate em with a passion. In this particular case I am begging them to find a loophole on the contract thing. Suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team for the next 2 years ANYTHING to prevent that prick from seeing another cent from any team.

It's going to be a waste of time. The team is focusing on the season, not dragging the A-Rod mess any further. He's not there, so we don't have to worry about that whole mess (at least for this season).

Baseball contracts are ironclad. There's no way they can get out of the A Rod contract. Any attempt to get out of the contract will just be a waste of time and lawyer's fees because there's no getting out of that contract.

That's not bad news Dirks is a joke in left field lol. This is one of the key areas the Tigers failed to truly address in the off season. Now maybe they can promote someone from the farm system that actually can play left and well be good.

He struggled mightily last year but I think he's far from a lost cause. His second year he showed his strength. He's a so-so fielder with a strong arm but if he can start hitting .280-.285 again we'd be good to go

And IF Prince Fielder had hit 35 HR last year he would still be here, If Kate Upton didn't mess with JV head we would have won the world series. If Alex Avila could throw someone out at 2B no one would steal on us, If Brandon Inge managed to raise his BA from .235 to .275 he would have been a great 3B...

Lot of Ifs in both our statements, show me a full season where Dirks didn't just play utility to back up he was ever a full .285 hitter. Last year was his first full season where he was the guy, and he showed what he really was just like Brennan Bosh did before he got dumped.

Avila should have been gone 2 years ago, or relegated to backup duties but I guess when the SVP of the organization is your uncle or father or w/e he is you get a free pass.

I am excited they got a good SS and went out and got Kinsler for 2B, love the fact Castanelos is getting his shot at 3B, between the 3 of them we should have one of the best infields in the game once Nick gets past his rookie jitters.

Still one of my biggest issues is until this year they did not build a team for the ballpark properly. Comerica has an awful lot of real estate once you pass the infield we should be built for speed, good Corner outfielders to match Jackson in center. It seems like Ausmus is going to let them run this year which is something his predecessor did not allow because the team was built on power pitching/hitting. Now with Hunter and Kinsler in the 1/2 spots we should have more guys on base for Miggy and VMart. They have been scoring a lot of runs in cactus play this year but you and i both know most of the damage is done against guys that will be bagging groceries at Kroger next month.

Nice to see Banuelos still has decent velocity after Tommy John. He'll probably start off at Triple-A, but he is in the running for taking over Kuroda's spot next year. Betances has had a good spring thus far, and he might be able to be a good arm out of the pen. Our teams looked tired and ragged coming out of last year, but if the chips fall properly then our pitching staff might be really young come next year. A 25 year old Tanaka, 23 year old Banuelos, 27 year old Nova, a 25 year old Pineda, and the old man in C.C.

I'm headed to Arizona this afternoon and going to see the Cubs-Rockies game tomorrow at the Cubs new facility. The only other Cubs home game when I am in Arizona is against the Dodgers, and tickets for that game are crazy expensive, with the cheapest tickets going for over $50.

Anyone else remember when MLB used to give you doubleheaders for the price of one, and bleacher seats used to be 4 dollars?
