Yeah, definitely the throw of the year so far but it can't be the play of the year because the guy wouldn't have even tried to get home if he just cleanly plays the ball.

It's more important to throw the runner out at home than playing it safe allowing him to stay on third.

It's more important to field your position properly than to get lucky that you get to the ball in time to barely get the runner on a perfect throw.

If you've been wondering what happened to Quintin Berry, the guy who stole some bases for the Detroit Tigers that one time, here is your answer: he's playing Triple-A ball for the Norfolk Tides and just not giving a *uck.

After reaching base in the ninth inning of last night's game against the Syracuse Chiefs, Berry got into it with the first-base umpire for unknown reasons and was promptly ejected. Choosing to go out in style, Berry proceeded to run the bases, slide into home, and yell some obscenities toward the field as he stomped into the dugout. All around, a strong performance.

Banned Dodgers Fan Arrested At Reds Game

One of the greatest mysteries in sports, answered: When a bad fan is banned for life from a ballpark, is there ever an actual way to keep him from getting in? At least for deranged Dodgers superfan "Troy from West Virginia," apparently so.

Troy Sexton, 40, from Hurricane, W.V., was arrested at Great American Ball Park on Tuesday night, six years after being banned from Reds games after taking part in a fight so big they had to stop play. He's been charged with criminal trespass and obstructing official business, and faces a felony count of burglary.

So, how did ballpark workers catch Sexton? Apparently he gave ample warning: according to a police affidavit, Sexton promised he "was coming to the ball park to 'shatter lives' the next couple days."

In 2009, after being arrested for calling the local police chief a racial slur and pushing his own son to the ground, Sexton's wife testified that he has a history of mental illness.

Sexton has been ordered jailed on $40,000 bond. He could face up to three years in prison.
