About to be another win for Rick Porcello guy totally got shafted on the All Star game. 53-37 soon as the Tigers close this one out. JD Martinez with another 9th inning home run funny how this guy got cut before the season started lol Thanks Houston! Now you understand why your franchise is the worst in MLB.

I just find it funny how Hes tied with Tanaka for the most part yet didnt make the AS Team, but Tanaka did, the system is messed up that's my biggest beef.

Tanaka has him beat in ERA but thats to be expected as hes a new pitcher in the MLB

Tanaka ERA 2.51 vs Porcello 3.39, Tanaka 12-4 vs Porcello 12-5, Tanaka Whip 1.01 vs Porcello 1.18, the biggest difference is Strike outs here with Tanaka at 135 vs Porcello at 67. The thing is Porcello is a ground ball pitcher, most MLB pitchers have a 1 in 10 Double play ratio Porcello is 1 in 3 because hes a sinker ball pitcher. Porcello should be an all star when you look at these numbers.

Their franchise is building young and they're doing a really good job at locking some of these guys up longterm for cheap.

Somewhat, but Wainwright has thrown 41.2 more innings than Kershaw and is the NL leader in wins and ERA (because Kershaw hasn't thrown enough innings to qualify, although their ERAs are very comparable). Kershaw has a lot more strikeouts, but Wainwright has never been a strikeout pitcher. It's understandable that Matheny would pick his own pitcher over Kershaw when the stats at least somewhat back the decision up.

So they've completely changed the rules of the home run derby again. Only 7 outs instead of 10 and the #1 hitter from each league skips to round 3 and faces the winner of round 2. I like these rules better, but it doesn't matter because they'll probably change them again next year.
